Kappa Sigma Recognized As Chapter of Excellence
Kappa Sigma received recognition at the Greek Column Awards last week as a “2011 Chapter of Excellence” from the staff of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. This designation is given to only a select few fraternities that meet the high standards of recognition. Some of the qualifications of this award include attendance at programming events, community service and participation in Greek events and philanthropy. Hopefully the Alpha-Delta Chapter can build on this honor and use it as a springboard for future success.

Kappa Sig has doubtless had a powerful impact on the many brothers who have had the privilege of sharing the bonds of brotherhood. Kappa Sig provides brothers with a social and professional network, educational support and an opportunity to grow into outstanding young men and citizens. How has Kappa Sig influenced YOUR life?
Thanks to Tom Tatem ’98 for the following submission: "I can honestly say it has made me who I am today, for better or worse! Seriously, it showed me how to balance priorities, work across a big group of people with different opinions, how to laugh and cry together as a family and accomplish things while having fun. There are so many parallels between fraternity life and the workplace. But overall, it took a naive teenager and prepared me for the real world."
