The members of the Kappa Sigma pledge class of 1967 would like to invite you to attend a 40 year reunion during the weekend of May 21-23, 2010.  We hope all brothers regardless of their graduation year will join us for the weekend's festivities. Join us for a golf event on Friday, May 22 at the State College Elks Club and/or Saturday, May 23 at the Penn State Blue Course.

Thon 2010 Raises Record $7,838,054.36
The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic  Dance Marathon raised a grand total of $7,838,054.36 at this year’s 46 hour event held Friday, February 19th through Sunday, February 21st.  The annual event raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.

Pledges Stick Together
Thank you to Bob Snelling '54 for answering our recent call for memories.

He writes, "I found that it didn’t matter if you were an SAE or KS or SN, pledges looked out for one another. In the fall of 1951 we were all at a home football game at Penn State and the Brothers had told us at the end of the game to go down on the field and get a piece of the wooden goal posts when they were torn down for our KS House. I was running full tilt down the field and never noticed the fellow standing there watching us run by. As I passed him he unexpectedly hit me in the face knocking me to the ground. Those coming behind me tore into him and this self appointed person (one of many it seemed) to stop the tearing down of the goal posts, ran from the field with a few black and blue marks of his own to remember the day."

Chapter Report
The Alpha Delta Chapter has big expectations for this semester with recent success and accolades from on campus activities. The Alpha Delta chapter recently finished participating in our first IFC related event, Greek Sing.  The chapter was paired with Kappa Alpha Theta, a prominent sorority on campus, and our group finished in fourth place out of twenty pairs of fraternities and sororities. The chapter will also be participating in Greek Week in April with the rising sorority of Sigma Kappa.

The Alpha Delta Chapter has also shown prowess on the athletic field.  The chapter had strong, above average seasons in Football, Basketball, Swimming, and Softball. The Chapter didn’t stop there capturing the 5k Cross Country Title and finishing second in Golf. The Wrestling season has also just ended with two brothers making it the final round in each weight class and with soccer around the corner. A fraternal IM sports title is within reach.
